The first inland shelter is in Pasquotank County at the Kermit E. White Center on Weeksville Road. (No shelters are located in Dare, Currituck, or Camden)
Shelter holds a capacity of 300.
When the shelter is opened, a telephone number will be published through various media channels that may be called if transportation is needed.
Be prepared to offer assistance to shelter workers if necessary, and stress to all family members their obligation to keep the shelter clean and sanitary.

What do I bring to the shelter?
Do NOT assume the shelter will have everything you need.
Meals will be provided
You are responsible to bring personal items such as bedding, toothbrushes, deodorant, special dietary foods, medications, hearing aids (and batteries), dentures, baby supplies, and extra clothing, etc.
KEEP IMPORTANT PAPERS WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES! For Example:
